    I don't recall jet size I thought it was a 53 is that possible? carb is the Holley 2300 but with the auto line part number. so they did some modifications to the throttle plate it has the idle mixture screws in there instead of the metering block as far as i can tell that is the only difference

    This is one of the plugs, I took out three and they all looked alike. Hope you can see enough looking at them now I almost think they are running rich

    Sorry about that and my late reply the spark plugs are white but not glazed that is actualy a good point with those jets I guess automotive engines usualy dont run at 4500 rpms for a long time🤦‍♂️

    I am at about 950m of elevation it is the 2300 Holley carb although not specificly marine. I had the whole floor out and there was a little water but i cleaned it all out and dried it so should be all good. On the first original cam i somehow groud the dist gear so I bought a used cam from NLA...

    those are the specs I have in my Manual except for the oil I think I have 25w but that does not affect power will it?

    It was the cam with the bigest lift still idling smooth. which i thought was important for a boat right?

    specs can be found on sumit racing when you put in the part no easier than listing on here but just isn't awailable any more

    cams part no is 31-213-4 it is the marine cam makes power between 800 and 4800 rpm it was the only one left they don't make it anymore.

    it is the original 2 volume mercury marine maunal in orange covers it covers all alpha one and pre alpha as far as I can tell.In the prop recomendation chart they say for a 21-24 foot boat they recomend a 17 pitch with the 1.50:1 ratio and WOT rpm of as said 3800-4200 rpms But you figure it is...
