    No and i have fire on both plugs.

    Setting the spark advance for a 1976 35 HP

    Looking for a little guidance in setting the timing and or spark advance on a 1976 35 HP Evinrude. I have replaced the points and gap them .020. when i tried to start it I got a back fire. So my guess is my timing it retarded a little.
