    If it has been sitting any amount of time clean and set dwell on the points. I would do the points service see what that gets you then go into the carb if there are still issues. This assumes you set the idle mixture and idle speed or at least roughed them in. Have you done a compression test

    Yes it could be. Basically will be down on power. What warning comes on? one thing that normally inhibits is the gearshift indicator seeing neutral. there is zero compression in end cylinders? would think exhaust is leaking water and hanging up valves @alldodge may have some thoughts too

    I usually wrap it around (from where you have it) twice. Push the end of the rope through the loop and around the hook, wont come of when it gets slack picking up the skiier/boarder. I also have used the same for towing tubes for years no issues

    92 would probably be a gen 2 , cut over year was 91 When merc started making them. had a 1991 sea ray that had by serial number one of the last gen one drives made, serial was just below the cutoff …unless a builder had a bunch laying around

    Depends on how you want to use it. The low deadrise hulls that give smooth wakes can be rough riding in some chop. If you are into skiing then go for it.

    pictures are not working on this site at moment. likely the seal under the water pump or shift shaft seal. take drive off drain oil and pressure test the drive use soapy water on seals to diagnose.

    Yes you can T the switch and sender to same port . Will likely be 1/8” npt On later engines like mine this is exactly how mercruiser does it.
