    Well if you think the gas gauge is correct ,yes when it's bouncing between 1/4 and empty run it out . No doubt there is a Charappal Owners Club on Facebook,might get a answer there , the rule of thumb is 10% is unusable, as in it can't be picked up by the fuel pick up system.

    Take a 5 gallon tank with you when you're low on gas . Fill it with the 5 after you run out , then off to the gas station,do the math . Or if you can get all 3 measurements on the tank you can use the formula to come out with there stated number of gallons.

    Any 5 weight hydraulic oil will work . You could even use water if it didn't rust out the inner workings . Know a guy that was in a fishing tournament, had a leak in the system, filled it with beer to finish out the day .

    Not sure exactly what you're saying . It list to one side while under power or the boat is always pulling to one side . No reason in the world for you to lose steering with the trim tabs down . Is this a straight inboard or I/O .

    I have never seen a zinc shaped like that and they are not supposed to be painted over . The piece you're trying to take off is not part of any zinc set-up that I'm aware of. Looks like some sort of paddle wheel speed sending unit and the " zinc " is some sort of transducer.
