    Pin thru transom bracket?

I'd like to trim my motor (Honda 90) a little further in. Can you remove the pin that goes through the transom bracket on a motor with power trim & Tilt. Will this cause any damage?

Should I raise the motor one hole?

The anti-vent plate is about even with the bottom of the hull on my 16' BW Dauntless. The Honda 90 is set on the second hole from top. I heard the plate should be 1 to 1 1/2" from the bottom of the hull. Is it too low?
