My Mums car had heated seats .....I do NOT like them .......as long as the heater works ( doesnt in the Capri ) Im good .
I would rather have cooled seats .π

I learnt that charging lead acid batteries really does produce explosive gas.....and that one shouldnt light their smokes by shorting out said battery with a bit of welding wire untill it was red hot , actually on that fateful day (I done it heaps of times )the wire didnt get much more than a Β½...
Got caned at boarding school ......quite a lot actually π....in pajamas. Far out that used to leave some marks ,welts and bruises that would last a week easy. We used to compare arses afterwards to see who got it worst . I used to wonder what would have happened if a bunch of us grabbed a master...
Just me but I dont like using impact drivers on corroded stuck fasteners. There is a skill learnt of previous disasters where one can tell the difference between a bolt that is actually unscrewing and one that is twisting to breakage....you loose that advantage with impact drivers.......you will...
I do like to have a perusal of such books ,its surprising what handy bits of info one can find , even things you thought you would have learnt by now.π
My biggest pile of books (not magazines ) would be reloading manuals followed by workshop manuals.
Yep , most early manufacturers had their own spec's and nothing else would fit .
Still see the odd thing with whitworth fasteners . An older man I used to work with gave me a (pretty much ) full set of whitworth tools, which whilst not my most used tools they have been handy a fair few times .π
That bush is twice the length of mine so more supporting area ,if there is less than half a mill Id pack it with grease and grease it up regularly ,you wont know its there π
Yeah , ebay. I bought new bushes for mine ,did all the part number checks but when they arrived they were about 5mm dia to small......so they are still in the bag they came in .
Having that clearance isnt ideal but its probly no worse than any motor with a bit of wear.......but it would bug me π. My bushes have a cut down the side of them so packing them did work for me . Greasing them wont take up clearance but it will make them feel better for a while .

Cut yourself a slice of soda can the length of the outside circumference and the hight of the bush and and pack it in behind the bush .....if that dont work put 2 in itπ
So , just to be clear ,if your boat circled and ran someone over you could live with that......and no one would sue you . Im being facetious , but I think that a runaway boat is better blasting across a lake than circling where peeps are gathered . End of the day once the boat has got away...
