    67 Year Old Head Bolts

I learnt that charging lead acid batteries really does produce explosive gas.....and that one shouldnt light their smokes by shorting out said battery with a bit of welding wire untill it was red hot , actually on that fateful day (I done it heaps of times )the wire didnt get much more than a Β½...

Got caned at boarding school ......quite a lot actually πŸ˜†....in pajamas. Far out that used to leave some marks ,welts and bruises that would last a week easy. We used to compare arses afterwards to see who got it worst . I used to wonder what would have happened if a bunch of us grabbed a master...

    67 Year Old Head Bolts

Just me but I dont like using impact drivers on corroded stuck fasteners. There is a skill learnt of previous disasters where one can tell the difference between a bolt that is actually unscrewing and one that is twisting to breakage....you loose that advantage with impact drivers.......you will...

I do like to have a perusal of such books ,its surprising what handy bits of info one can find , even things you thought you would have learnt by now.πŸ™‚ My biggest pile of books (not magazines ) would be reloading manuals followed by workshop manuals.

Identify the thread of this screw from my boat

Yep , most early manufacturers had their own spec's and nothing else would fit . Still see the odd thing with whitworth fasteners . An older man I used to work with gave me a (pretty much ) full set of whitworth tools, which whilst not my most used tools they have been handy a fair few times .πŸ™‚

1990 120ho force king pin question

Having that clearance isnt ideal but its probly no worse than any motor with a bit of wear.......but it would bug me πŸ™‚. My bushes have a cut down the side of them so packing them did work for me . Greasing them wont take up clearance but it will make them feel better for a while . Probly your...

    When boating, always ___________________

So , just to be clear ,if your boat circled and ran someone over you could live with that......and no one would sue you . Im being facetious , but I think that a runaway boat is better blasting across a lake than circling where peeps are gathered . End of the day once the boat has got away...
