    update. replaced spark plugs, i guess it's been longer than I thought when I changed them last, they were ac delco's 41-993 with the fine tip, not so fine tip, they were burnt wider than a .045 gap, more like a .095 gap. just ordered new cap and rotor just to make sure thing are up-to-date...

    put boat in yesterday at the marina, went to slip to get the gang, idles smooth but got onto river and gave it some gas little bog, ran down stream for 3 miles, way to windy the white cap were going across river not with the river, turned around and gunned it took forever to get on plane and...

    starts then dies

    if it is a mpi or fuel injection mine does that for a while too, turns out if you change fuel filter you can trap air on injectors, first find shrader valve, prime lines, the put screwdriver into shrader and let out fuel and air, could take 10 tries, until all fuels comes out.

    2005 rinker captiva 212 mercruiser 350 mpi spark plug hunting hasn't turned up a replacement, AC 41-932 is what it calls for but no one makes them and ones that have some want $ 1K each. what do you guys use to tune up your boat with???

    Do you know which auto cap is the same as the mercruiser one? like where to get from and what number they are?

    engine serial number is 0w037384, yes it's the flat cap. It's been a few years since I swapped the cap, rotor wires and plugs so a tune up couldn't hurt for next spring.

    Looking for a tune up kit for my 350 mpi, found a cap and rotor kit but it's not mercruiser, cap has same number as merc but rotor has a different number. since caps are pretty much the same would the rotor be fine or do i keep looking for one with all numbers matching?

    what do you guys use for cleaning out old gas and dirty injectors and what or if you use a fuel stabilizer in each tank or how and when to use them. what's your favorite stuff.

    i am changing out the old, worn out (2005) sony for a newer model with bluetooth, i have been looking at the mex-xb120bt and the mex-m71bt both are sonys, my boat came with sony and has lasted up til last year, it still works but my kids would rather use bluetooth from their phones for music...
