    1978 johnson 15hp leaking fuel when fuel line is connected

    anyone repair their gas line connector? I've read where an "O" ring can be replaced in the connector, but when pushing down on the ball in the connector, I can't see any O ring or a place for it to go. Please help. Thanks

    Looked at a 96 mercury 15m tiller today at a rummage sale, the price was $175.00. This seemed quite low to me, so I started asking questions. No one knew anything about it.     1976 15 hp johnson tune up

    I bought a 76 johnson 15hp outboard last fall, 15R76A, had a heck of a time starting it but it did start. I didn't do anything more to it but now I want to use it and would like it to start easier. Where do I start on a tune up? Thanks. I don't have a manual with it.
