    Brake based limited slip differentials

Have and not need is much better than need and not have.

    Brake based limited slip differentials

Mine are sandy dead end streets mostly lol. There aren't a ton of public ramps local to me and even fewer are "free". I'm not paying either 40$ a pop to launch or 200$ for the season when the free ones are adequate. My current tow rig has a gov lock rear end and 4wd so it is fine. The other...

    Brake based limited slip differentials

I've always had 4wd. I've never needed 4wd to get a boat up a ramp. My 04 had an open diff and was never an issue. Our ramps aren't very steep though.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Yeah recycled naming much like HEMI or LS/LT and so on. Its a twin turbo I6. Don't believe it shares much of anything from any other engine family at this time as it was mostly clean sheet. I am not big or up to date on FCA/Stellantis products as much as general/ford.

These are actually twisted in a cinnamon roll like dough. I just need to get better at twisting.

Isn't that again, again? Lol. And honestly, the hurricane is a pretty stout engine thus far.

I'm just burnt out which is no good in a different way. 🤣 I made some apple fritters last night... needs more work.

I've seen worse too. But that stupid drip catch may as well not be there. If the filter had a nut on the end like the k&n does it's not bad, just a hard reach with the cross member otherwise. I'm also coming from a vehicle where the oil change is like a minute and a half and has a cartridge...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Depends what I need to do. Plugs are easier on the EB as they're on top of the head vs down by the manifold. The oil change on the chevy is easier... Whoever at ford thought it a good idea to stick the oil filter where it is needs to be shot... same for whoever at GM placed the passenger rear...

Our eco boost does single digits towing the travel trailer (sail) but also idles along mostly. The 33 gallon tank is nice but also almost needed for towing with a half ton.

Volvo Penta V6-240 Fuel High Pressure Dropping to Zero

The lobe, eccentric, cam lobe etc. Just checking. I've seen worn lobes from fuel pump failures cause issues too but usually it's noticeable either in the fuel or visually scarred or worn down. I don't think it was the problem either but worth asking just to rule out anything else.

Bench/Sunpad vs Doghouse for Engine Servicing (pic included)

Everyone pushes back hard but it'll be here eventually. Maybe not in the next few years but CARB has had its eyes on it for the last 5 years or so... It is coming though sadly.

I meant in regards to the lead content... it's strong as in it attacks a lot of things most people wouldn't think about... and poisons O2s and cats like you said. It also attacks bearings and some other metals.... Strong stuff I am glad I don't have to deal with. Been a while but I seem to...

Bench/Sunpad vs Doghouse for Engine Servicing (pic included)

Low hanging fruit. Though there has been talks about it since the shift has been to outboards. They'll be here eventually then I/Os will look inexpensive again.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I hate the pay wall... but at the same time looking back, each new vehicle I have had less and less need to get into the ECM to diagnose issues. It's not like I don't drive either, doing nearly 30k a year at this point. I had a thermostat go out. Otherwise its tires brakes and fluids. I also...

Bench/Sunpad vs Doghouse for Engine Servicing (pic included)

Mine always had a doghouse. I have no complaints. I made the doghouse install with quick connect hinges so access is easy. When I rebuilt the bilge I added kickouts to make filter access easier but ended up installing a remote oil filter. Starter is also easy. I have two coolers on either side...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Which guys you watching? I've seen fishbump do some basic stuff with coosa but I kind of fell off looking into it once I went with ply for my rebuild. I do like learning though.

Biggest issue I've seen with scanner data is that people tend to jump to the readings being incorrect... but the scanner is only giving you a glimpse. Its not lying to you or giving you bad readings.. but rather that is what it sees, it's only going to tell you what it gets. And a lot of people...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Your pupils at best are already adjusted to what light is being reflected back from the headlights. You can't improve vision beyond that. Yes the cluster will negatively impact visibility at max brightness but beyond that you get what you get. You also get more scatter on the windshield but...
