    Sorry, it is 4300-RRR. And that's what I mean - the engine I ordered and paid for specified roller cams and roller lifters, so why would they send me one with flat tappets?? Do these manufacturers think we won't notice? Ugh!

    I'm late to the party, but fwiw, i used to tow boat/trailer (~3200 lbs) with a FWD Mazda Tribute (towing capacity 3500 lbs) with no issues whatsoever.

    No, the engine ran great all summer, cranked and idled fine once towed back to the dock, and the same 'til I took it to him.
