    Little water in the outdrive.. OMC

    So I drain the outdrive today. About 2 table spoons of water came out.:eek:. I was expecting to have this problem, from what was told by the previous owner.. He thought it was leaking at the bearing carrier. Which I have yet to see.. I know I need to rig up someway to pressure test the sucker...

    So a couple of weeks ago we bought a 87 Four Winns with the 4.3l omc.. I only paid a grand for it.. Needed a trim motor and it is on its way as of this message.. The sea trial( really the river trial) is set up for next Sunday.. I know its a holiday and everyone and their uncle will be running...

    When trailering would it be best to tie the outdrive up

    Well this maybe a silly question.. I just picked me up a new tub or at least new to me, its a 87... It's my first i/o so I am a bit unsure. Is it best to tie the outdrive up when trailering? Seems like it would be.. All that bouncing around seems it would be tough on the rams that run the trim...

    I have a OMC outdrive on my Four Winns... The previous owner said that there is a leak in the lower unit at the shaft.. This is what I would like to know.. Where would I go about getting the tool to spin the bearing carrier out??
