    Not sure what you mean by over adjusted. But check your rectifier, that may be why your tach isn't working and your system may not be charging properly.

    A friend of mine bought this motor last Mar and says he can turn the trim tab straight back and to the left. Of course the boats pulling to the right. Is there some sort of stop on them?

    I've got my manifold with new reeds installed on very flat blocks (finally) and ready to bolt back on the motor. None of my 3 books say much about it so I am wondering if I should use any kind of sealer with the new gasket.

    Which is the proper lock tite to use when re-assembling reeds? The red stuff or the blue? I believe the red is the semi-permament and the blue the removeable type.
