All the wire I added was tinned 14 AWG.

Ground wire from the harness attaches to the aluminum bus strip.

I had a homebuilt airplane that would lose electrical power about 15 minutes into flight. A little while later it would come back then repeat. Finally traced it to a bad solder connection that would lose contact when heated and reconnected once cooled. I have seen similar problems in electronics (TVs and computers). It could be a break somewhere that loses contact when it gets warm.

Every connection point at this time has been spit polished to a keen shine. When in question, wires have been replaced with new wire, slightly oversized application appropriate wire. Once I get this back in and I am still getting an overcharging from the alternator, I will pull out what hair remains.

If you still have the original type alternator the over charging can be from the external regulator

If defective might be able to get one, but can also change over to one wire marine type

I missed the overcharge. Could there be an overcharge protection shutting the system down? I know such systems exist but am ignorant as to how they work.

What is this black magic of which you speak? This "one wire marine type"?

I've looked an so far everything is about going to a one wire alternator. Would this be a internally regulated alternator?

Yes the Regulator is inside the Alt. They work but I'm not a fan because installing one and it started over charging. Might have just been a bad one but went back to 3 wire
