I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe time. We stayed in today, having had some family here for a week with beaching and boating. . . now totally exhausted.

It’s the official end of the summer season here on MV and things will start to get back to some what normal. Now to get through the wedding season.

We often bring the boat over to Vineyard Haven and stay at the Black Dog Wharf in September since the crowds have faded.

Not this year though , since we have lots of travel plans over the next few months.

My side job ends next week. The weeks leading up to thanksgiving are the best boating you'll ever get. And I finally have time to do all the stuff I've put off all summer because I'm busy... Including your soty plaque.

taking my boat to my guy today, hope easy fix because here in TN a random 60 plus degree day can pop up at anytime thanksgiving thru st pattys day.

I’m not sure if I will even get the boat in the water this year. It will likely be a surf casting fall for me. But that’s fine I’ll take what I can get.
There is plenty of good fishing from shore and the derby starts soon.

I put the ski boat in storage today, put all the skis and tubes and life jackets in the boat have it pretty packed. Got home and realized I did not pull the battery.

After delivering meals to the elderly yesterday I got home and took care of the grass and attacked the weeds in the flower beds. By then it was late afternoon and the crowd would be gone from the lake, so we hooked up the boat and headed there. We enjoyed sandwiches on the boat, caught a few white perch, watched 3 eagles fish and scream at each other, and just generally chilled on the water till almost dark. Then headed back to the ramp. It was a good day!

I have not been to the beach nor on the boat Labor Day weekend for as long as I can remember.

Prefer the spend the last days of summer at the pool with family and a fridge full of my favorite adult beverages.
