Hard to know ,on one hand I guess one could (should?) take it as a compliment that peeps want to come here .......but Im getting real sick of being run off the road by tourists that simply cant effin drive .....come over here and hire a camper van ( we call them road maggots ) and crash your way around NZ .

Yeah I dunno if its selfishness but I dont like immigration . I think that most of the conflict we suffer is because of fundamental differences in culture and religion and thusly each should stay in their own back yard and happily do what they want .
What pi55es me off is getting immigrants that escape from some oppressive culture (instead of sticking around and sorting their own domestic issues) , arrive here and immediately try to turn my country into the place they just left.....demanding that their culture be respected regardless of who they offend .

Well I've only been to Cali out that way but the way you were talking I would have thought you were in the South Bronx, South Jamaica Queens, East New York Brooklyn or some such locale. All very scary neighborhoods some of which I worked in back in the '70s. Used to ride the subways then and was always watching my back.

I was Appalled at how much Poverty I saw back then, and it is far worse these Days, as 99.999% of the Money has been concentrated in the 0.05%

These illegals committed at least 5 murders if not more across Long Island, one of the wealthiest areas of NYS.
This group of illegals is on par with the old school Mafia, with even less morals (because they routinely kill minor children). So much for the bad only being 1%. When the trouble comes to your neighborhood you won’t forget it. And you won’t want ANY illegal immigration!

I don’t think Canada is much different than Europe in that respect (health care). Certainly our healthcare system needs improvements. I can say one thing, I do like the bike lanes all over Montreal! Wish I had them here in the US!
Extensive poverty? We have had a “war in poverty” since the 1960s. In the US we are not willing to go to European levels of taxation because look what some of the governments then do with it. Once you give that up forget about ever getting it back. They create a permanent dependent underclass. Because no government ever follows up and really properly administers such programs. Look at what just blew up in Minnesota! Fraud city! All government enabled!
I’ll stay here, though I’d really enjoy visiting Canada!
