Gee, can you build a dolly to fit under the engine. Pry the engine up, shove the dolly under it and roll it forward until it clears the structure, and then pull with a cum-a-long and scaffold?

Of course, if you have a C frame lying around.....
Ayuh,..... 'n if you pull the mount lag bolts, you've only gotta come up, a 1/4"- 1/2" to slide it forward,....

Probably remove tow bar above the engine, run chain or strap through the hole, lift engine up, then get it on dolly or plywood or something with less friction like thick nylon sheet that would allow it to be dragged forward for extraction.

Well, I took some measurements and whipped up a crude C frame that I think will do the trick. It tested well on a junk engine in the shop. Now to see about getting a buddy with a crane over here, or look at renting a large forklift.

Nice. The only thing I may suggest- something to make sure the chain can't slide off the end if the engine gets hung up on something

Right there with ya. That was a pic of 1.0. This is 2.0 a few minutes later.

The 63 Impala SS has a pretty stock 327,but the T Bucket has a few more tricks. They’re our winter toys here in AZ when we can’t be on the water.

nice. Nice to have access to equipment like that. When I did mine our rigger we used at work hooked me up. Sent his son over on a Saturday with a 15 ton crane….took longer to set up than do the pick

Whoever designed that engine bay should be flogged with spark plug wires.

I was thinking battery cables....

as one other stated, this boat is a nightmare to work on, but then again, so are most modern cars..... access has been sacrificed to "styling" and CAD design without regard to actual in person access is the norm. 99% or more of the "designers" will never be the one to lift a wrench to work on it, so they dont care.

When I thought the engine would have to come out of my Four Winns, I was irritated at the thought of having to move the engine forward slightly and getting a cherry picker with enough reach to come in over the swim deck..... This one takes the cake. Myself, that engine would be coming out in pieces to get as much weight off as possible in case a strap failed, and also to get them as short as possible to avoid having the overhead foul the lift...... OP, you have my sympathies.....
