    drain water in block

    When I pull my boat out of the water will the water drain from the block and any other parts enough to keep from damaging it in a freeze. The motor is a 1970 165 hp. 250 cu. in. I live on the coast in california so I use the boat year round.

    I can turn my propeller when drive is in gear

    I have a 1971 165 mercruiser I was out on the water and it started to slip like when a propeller rubber goes bad. My propeller is a plastic propeller so that wasnt the problem. the symptoms are, I turn the propeller by hand , when the gear shift is in forward it feels like it is ratcheting...
