    Armature Plate Repair

    Hello, I done the Joe Reeves repair on the armature plate and the slack seems to be gone. When I started the motor, It seemed as though It was idleing higher than before. It has good throttle response and idles good, but maybe alittle high. Does this sound normal? Can I adjust the idle on this...

    Evinrude Coil Wiring

    This is a 1973 25 Evinrude. From the armature plate there are two wires with plugs on the ends of them that hook to the coils. Can you hook either coil to either wire coming from armature plate.? They appear to be the same as if it doesnt matter!

    FROM KEY START TO PUSH BUTTON!! Evinrude

    This is a 1973 Evinrude Elec start. The present key switch has 5 wires. 1 to elec choke, 1 to top of solonoid, 1 to bottom of solonoid and 1 to each coil(2). Is this possible? I have a 2 terminal push button switch. If possible, what would I need to do? I was thinking of also putting a small...

    25 Evinrude De Carbon?

    I was wondering if there's anything easier way than carb cleaner and a wire brush to de carbon a motor. Head is already off due to a new head gasket. I have lots of build up. Probably first de carbon since 1973!!

    Debris In Thermostat Housing!!!

    I was changing the thermostat in my 1973 Evinrude 25 and noticed some medium sized pieces of what looked like carbon.     1973 Evinrude 25 (Upper Crankshaft Oil Seal) &

    Just wondering if it is a big project to change the upper crankshaft oil seal. I also have a suzuki and its not much trouble. Just a matter of removing flywheel, stator assembly and a plate that has the seal in it. Noticed on this motor it doesnt look so easy. Thanks Alot

    1999 1750 Bayliner Capri Deiseling? (3.0 Merc)

    I purchased this boat in 2002 and this boat has always dieseled. This mainly happens after shutting down after running a long distance. Boat has been very well maintained and always good gas. New plugs evey year and recently new wires. Timing Maybe??
