    That is probably my best option. I'm looking at Crowley now. They have a 100hp powerhead for the 90 degree crossflow lower to replace my 90hp crossflow. Do you know if they are reliable? Jeff

    I need to replace a 1995 Evinrude 90hp that has a water jacket crack/brake somewhere putting water in the lower left/port looking at the motor from the back. I am in WV and used or reman outboards are hard to find. Any recommendations on a reliable source of used or remanufactured outboards...

    So I got to water test it today. 13.22v at 900 RPM 14v at 4800 RPM That is with a meter at the battery. Jeff

    I understand racerone and yes. It is pretty simplistic. But, everything is checking out to spec and there still appears to be a problem. As I said, I will water test this weekend and see if the higher RPM will produce more voltage. I really don't have much experience with this sort of thing...

    The above readings were at the motor as well as the battery. Same reading everywhere I measured from the rectifier/regulator to the battery. No music, just a humminbird sonar unit and livewell pump. Jeff

    @racerone, everything checks out to be in spec. I need to get the boat in the water to test at upper RPM's. Outside of that, any ideas as to what the issue could be? I am running a maintenance fee battery. Could that be the issue? Jeff
