    thanks for that link. My main interest is to get to that gear #18 to see how its wear looks. If it looks worn then I will just block off the pump and start using premix like the old days. Problem is that it does not look like its easy to get access to that pump.

    Sounds more like a fuel delivery problem. If you are doing that rag test not on the lake just earmuffs you can get lots of unusual things since you don't the have back pressure on the exhaust. Can you have a buddy squeeze the bulb while you are on the water at your attempted speed.?
