I have a blown 1986 25XE and I want to swap the electric start over to my 1988 25XD. (There is a bracket for a starter) Am I going to have timing or technical problems? I am somewhat mechanical. My main concern is the stator/trigger,...will they have to be swapped over?
I have a 5yr old 55# powerdrive that seems to be losing power lately. Should I be able to hold this prop still by hand even kicking it up to full power? I have 2 new 12volt batteries run in parallel that are showing full charge.
I do plow through a lot of weeds.

Just bought a 1962 5hp seaking motor. It runs great but after a few minutes the lower unit below the motor got pretty warm. I know this water pump doesn't discharge a visible stream, but is there any way to test if it is working?
