    89 Johnson 110 outboard does not engage forward or reverse

    I have an 89 Johnson outboard 110 HP that I just took out on the water for the first time. It starts and idles but will not kick into forward or reverse. Any ideas on where I need to start to figure out what's wrong? Thanks in advance! Wayne

    1970-1972 Johnson OB with no fire

    We recently purchased a boat with a Johnson OB. Not sure of the year but reading other posts, I am guessing 70 or 71. It will turn over but will not fire. We put new plugs in it but they are not getting any fire at all. We took off the flywheel and cleaned the points and contacts, still no fire...
