yeah, I'm pretty sure its an alpha drive. That bolt with the red arrow is one of the ypipe bolt mating it to the gimbal housing. Could it also be the outdrive gasket?
Is it part of the outdrive? Water is only leaking if the engine is running. Is the water intake hose you are talking about? The leak is next to the ypipe bolt.

I just had the mechanic service my outdrive. Impeller, gear lube, check gimbal bearing and u joints. A week later, a clunking/knocking sound appeared. The noise seemed to be coming from the front of the drive by the shaft. Cant upload the video. File too big.
My drive was stuck in the up position at one point. I had someone push the drive down while im pressung the down switch. I finally went down. Its working now and i lubed the hydraulic rim shaft. Now its working up and down no problem, except i found some trim oil in the bildge, i think its when...
