So i had the local boat shop order me a new gasket since i pulled off the powerhead. The one he got me was a v4 part # 344386. Its not right. My model # is j90TSLECM. Im having difficulty as im kinda frustrated right now. Thanks for any help.
Lost the compression in one cylinder, going off the hopesits not a cracked ring, before i do a complete tear down, where should i start and work my way up? Thanks
I was told its not common to have one break, is this true? Can i just pull off the power head and do the repair without pulling off the lower unit? The play comes from the region of the upper motor mount.
My motor moves in a way that leads me and several others to think the mount is broke. I can't afford a shop so will take this on myself and a mechanic friend will help. What book or help can I get to help me? I have excessive side play, not in the steering. Anyone ever do this before?
