    Square tube drop axle flip

The entire axle is a square tube and looking at the picture there's nothing to hold the axle in place unless there's some type of pin that I wouldn't be able to see without taking it apart.

    Square tube drop axle flip

Here's a crappy phone picture, kind of hard to see the outdrive though. The trailer is sitting level, the angle you see is the drive way. The trouble area is just in front of the boat, the drive way drops down at quite the angle. I won't be doing a 180 flip of the axle. If I move the axle...

    Square tube drop axle flip

My project boat, a 1994 Wellcraft Eclipse 182s, came with a Magnum brand trailer. When on the trailer the outdrive skeg sits about 3 inches off the ground when tilted all the way up. Pulling the boat home I didn't have any issues but backing it into my driveway was a different story. My driveway...

    Replacing a 434A

Hi all. I have a 1994 Wellcraft Eclipse 182S that's been in my wife's family since new. Several years ago the 434A was not winterized correctly and ended up with a cracked block and while researching, I have found that the 434A was only produced for 3 years, so a replacement seems to be hard to...

    1982 Nordic 660 Restoration

While doing some exploratory coring of the stringers, they are 6" wide and completely glassed over so I knew they weren't just wooden stringers, I found them to be constructed of a foam block with a 3/4" plywood top, then glassed over. The plywood is completely wet along with the top inch or so...

    1982 Nordic 660 Restoration

Here's how it looked when I brought it home. I could tell there was a lot of extra weight from the wet wood and foam by the way the trailer wheel is sitting, almost looks like the axle is bent but it isn't.

    1982 Nordic 660 Restoration

Hello all - I picked up an 82 Nordic 660 that probably would have been better off in the landfill and I'm not sure the boat really ever existed as there's very little info out there. The HIN starts with NOR so I know it was built buy Nordic boats in Little Falls, MN but that's the extent of...

    Heating shop for epoxy

Hello - I'm redoing the deck in an 82 Nordic 16 and am using Epoxy. My question is about heating my garage as the temps are starting to drop and my garage is getting down to the high 50's at night. Has anyone used a kerosene or propane torpedo type heater while fiberglassing to keep the temp...
