    Hydra-sports vl 475. What year?

    I am looking into buying a Hydra-sports vl 475. The owner said it was an 1989 but from reserch it appears they only made those until 1985. The hull number is hsx88405m84e. Its an an 18' with a Johnson gt 150. Are these good boats?

    Squealling sound and Shavings!!

    I have a 1989 force 150 and the other day while on the water I heard a loud squeal and then it stopped a few seconds later. The motor ran fine and never missed a beat but when I got home and removed the cowling there are aluminum shavings but I can not find the source. Whats under the flywheel?
