1996 Mercury 150hp EFI --- Need an OEM Service and Parts Manual

So there's not a model specific manual for it? I see the "Above 135HP (Non Verado)" manual. I'm assuming that covers every outboard greater than 135hp, and multiple years. How big "is" this book?!?

1996 Mercury 150hp EFI --- Need an OEM Service and Parts Manual

Can anyone help me locate an OEM Service Manual, and a Parts Manual, for my 1996 Mercury 150hp EFI? (Serial Number 0G424278) I was hoping to find a motor specific manual instead of the manuals that cover multiple outboards, if one exists. Thanks in advance for any and all assistance. Much...

One last request ... Does anyone have an exploded diagram, with part numbers, for the tilt-n-trim unit for this outboard? I have a failed o-ring that needs replacing (leaking fluid).

    Force 70 hp questions.

That's what I needed to hear (see in this case). PROBLEM SOLVED !!!! The enrichment valve is working as it should. I ended up finding a bad switch at the key. When pressed inward, +12v was not being applied. I had to run a new switched circuit to it. Now, it starts fairly quickly. I...

A small amount of fuel entering the carb throat. Maybe feel the solenoid click. I don't know. I expect to see "something" though. Should I not?

    Force 70 hp questions.

I have tried plumbing that valve in both directions, yes. The valve operates as I feel it should. It's either open, or it's closed. Makes no difference at all. Fuel will flow through the valve when 12v are applied. It will cease to flow when 12v are removed. Fuel will NOT flow through the fuel...

    Force 70 hp questions.

Question now is, where can I pick up a reasonably priced trim relay harness (aftermarket or otherwise)? Thanks for the info! Update: I picked up a used primer solenoid on ebay, applied 12v to it, and verified it responded. I tested the original, and be damned if it didn't start responding...

    Force 70 hp questions.

Awesome! I just confirmed my up/down switch on my controls is working. Are those wires "supposed" to be tied in to a relay of sorts, or am I good to connect them directly to the trim pump? I have no idea the electrical current required to operate the pump, or whether those wires are of...

Shouldn't the primer respond when voltage is applied?

    Force 70 hp questions.

I have no idea as to how to identify the correct model number on this outboard. These motors were notorious for fading motor plates as I understand. Hopefully someone can help correctly identify the model/year? The current identification plate is beyond legible. Here are my problems: 1) I am...

1991 ?? Mercury Force - Fuel streaming from prop while priming

You were 100% correct! Not just one diaphragm, but both had ruptured. Now .... why? The diaphragm's had ruptured where they met the housing surfaces. I can only assume I over-torqued the bolts when installing. Would you say that's a fair assessment? For clarification, both diaphrams install to...
