Hey Guys
Just doing the final sand on a non-painted GRP hull ... has plenty of swirls/sctaches on it from removing very old decals on it.
What grit should the final sand be before I hit it with the cutting/polishing compound ?

Need some help here.
My Merc 80 (Blueband approx 1984) grinds into reverse.
If I move the control slowly into reverse, she grinds progressivly louder until she locks into reverse, as the lever is moved. Sounds extreamely painful, and have noticed metal last time I changed the oil.
