I am working on my alpha1 gen1 gimble housing. I've installed a new housing and I have I new drive shaft but its from a gen2 are they the Same?? When I try to put it through the gimble bearing it stops right before the seals, should it go in freely? When I put the lower unit back on what gear...
Ok this is what I have going on, I have a alpha 1 gen 1 outdrive and I broke the drive shaft and when it broke the gimble ring and bell housing broke. So when I was taken it apart I saw a very small crack in the gimble housing. So what I'm asking is if I need or have to replace the housing.
