Can anyone give me some info on checking the timing on a 1975 merc 9.8? Serial # is 4084137. It had a degree spec on the flywheel, but it wore off. Do I need a timing light or guage of some sort. I know I need a repair manual, but I'm laid off and they cost about 100 boxes of mac n cheese !:(
