    Okay great to know. Somewhere after the igniton and before the plug i'm losing power. I ran a new wire from after the igintion, spliced into the purple, and back into purple before the plug and now everything works fine. I'll try to keep looking for where the issue is tomorrow.

    Okay here are my findings. No power at coil, no power at fuel pump and no power at oil pressure switch, power at purple wire at alternator and power at purple wire at ignition key.

    Thank you for the diagram.. So according to this if i have my oil pressure switch bypassed, i should be getting power to the pump at ignition, before i even crank? But I'm not, where should i be looking for loss of power?

    Aloha, I have a 2005 4.3l Merc engine, yesterday randomly the fuel pump stopped getting voltage. I energized the pump and it works. I bridged the oil pressure sensor, that's not it. I traced it back to the starter wire that is purple and yellow. Now i know from before when i turn the key...

    Metal coming out from around gimbal bearing

    I took my alpha one gen 2 drive off to do some work, and I noticed that metal that's ribbed that comes around the gimbal bearing is sticking out from the top of it. I tried to take a picture hopefully it's visible. What could have caused this, and how bad is this issue? I ordered a new one.

    There was oil in the reservoir, but after taking the boat out the first time, when I came back the reservoir tank fell off the bracket and was on the ground, so I put it back on, still had oil in it though The ramp is about a 2 min drive through a no wake zone. Thank you for the replies

    Thank you everyone for the replies, makes sense now, just wanted to make sure I didn't screw up ign timing. I set it at 10 BTDC at 650rpm, seems to be running well.

    To add, on my timing gun there's an advance option, when I set it at 10, with the pulley showing 0, when I set the gun to 0, the pulley goes to 10, on the right of the 0 mark, but everything I read online says BTDC is on the left when looking at the engine, not sure why I'm confused by this

    This will probably be a dumb question, but in the image BTDC is on the side where the 6 is correct? I ask because I need to see the timing to 10 BTDC but why would there not be a mark for 10 on that side, but one on the other side?
