I'm buying a new wiring harness for the motor but I don't know if its a v4s or a v4a. The model number is 85853A. Please someone help me. If u need additional information lemme know. Thanks in advance.
my main question is,is this a good motor? I bought a 69 sea ray with this motor not sure if it starts and it seems like the carb might be messed up. is it worth the time and money to fix this motor? the model number is 85853A.
I just bought my first boat (69 16' Sea Ray with a 68 Evinrude 85 hp outboard). I dont know a whole lot about boat electronics. I do know how to repair electronics and work on car electronics but not boats. So to my question... does an outboard motor charge the battery while running?
