when re-inserting these needles (and the high-speed jets) how far do you thread them down? Do you tighten until they are snug and then back off a little or what? please help
My engine ran fine for about 15 minutes this morning. Then it hesitated and jolted a couple of times and cut off. i got it to start back up but it bogs down and dies when i throttle up. It will drive in forward at idle speeds. Ive cleaned the high speed jets. Not sure where the low speed...
I had to pull my lower unit. The free standing Pins that circle around the drive shaft fell out. I was wondering if there is a tool to hold the pins in place while i re-insert the drive shaft.
Or whats the easiest way to get all the pins to stay in place while i re-insert the drive shaft?

Ive got my 63 johnson re-timed. the carbs are clean, points are clean and its runnin. My problem is the red lever on the throttle controls is broke (I have one ordered). my engine is idling fine but when i try to throttle up the engine dies. suggestions?

I can't seem to get my johnson to fire over. Its cranking and its getting fuel(just cleaned the carbs and replaced the fuel lines). I just got it and i know that it's been sitting for a few years. Any suggestions as to why it wouldn't fire up? thanks
