In water running great today when temp started rising above 180.
Came off plane and idled to a safe place before engine died. Temp reached 200.
Overheat was caused by a tear in the main hose from the circ pump to the tsat. pouring all the water into bilge...
I properly winterized my 5.7 2 falls ago including an oil change..
That nice fresh quicksilver oil has sat in there for 1.5 years..
