I am actually having the same problem, I have the bearing but the inside is too small for the drive shaft. I can’t get my drive on and it’s making me crazy. The engine alignment tool is too big to fit in the gimbal bearing as well
Just took the boat out for the first time since I bought it and everything was great.... For 10 minutes... and then this grinding sound happens at all times when the engine is on. I think it may be the gimbal bearing since it gets louder when turning but at 3.5k rpm it seems to not be there anymore?
Yeah when I saw that I was incredibly confused. I didn't even think to look when I bought it because why? I'll scrape it off and see. Hopefully he did it because it leaked and didn't want to replace a seal?
