Installed a Sierra filter with a water catchment and drain, also replaced all the gas line hoses with ethanol friendly hose ,seems to run very good now no miss firing ,I will take it out tomorrow and test it out .
It would not run at all today so I Took the filter off and no gas in it the filter the ethanol in the gas made the gasket swell up so large it wouldn’t seal the filter so no way for the pump to suck up the gas .
Don’t think it’s slow mode as it is miss firing badly and didn’t do that when it went into slow mode once before when I first bought it , gt 150 has low hrs less than 500 hrs ,but of course the Honda kicker has thousands of hrs .
Filter is two days old , took filter off and dumped gas into a jar ,no water but only got an inch of gas out of a filter the size of a cars seem like it should have more in it ?
Motor was running perfectly the night before but today after I topped up the gas at the marina (which only sells premium) it started to miss badly at around 3000rpm ? I had to come back to marina at 15 miles an hr so it would not miss fire .
The wild fire smoke happened ,then i had problems with the van i use to put boat in water ,so spring it is or ian now test it at home with the muffs when it stops raining .I put a 3000 gal cistern in with a 3/4 hp motor so now i will not have a low pressure problem .
Thanks for sending that i found someone to insert a new rubber hub , it was in backwards the first time i got it back but i took it back and they put in properly , then i put it back on the motor and the boat is back to normal 5600 rpm , it is a much better prop than the turning point hustler ...
i was flushing saltwater out of my motor with the garden hose after fishing on the ocean for the day and after seven minutes overheat alarm went off , could this be because my well has next to no pressure right now and wont even run a garden sprinkler? Water was coming out of the bottom of motor...

No spark 1991 gt150 , I have no spark on the top two cylinders when I put timing light lead on either of the top spark plugs when the wire is plugged into the spark plug. If I pull the wires off the spark plugs then I can see the timing flash , so why do they only spark when not plugged into plug?
I put my muffs on my gt150 and test ran it after some carb leak repairs and I noticed my tach is not working . 12 volts at pos & neg . What do I want to see for voltage on third terminal of tachometer?
