    thank you cpt, i pulled the shift mechanism and the vertical shaft will not go down like it should. move freely up for reverse. 100% don't tackle myself?

    Rookie mistake! Coming off plane looking over right shoulder for boats behind and left hand on gear shift/throttle and accidentally put in reverse while props still spinning forward. Of course clunk and now no FWD, but have reverse. Feels normal when putting in reverse, feels like gear shift...
