    mercury 40 timing mark

    Hi I have a Mercury 40 1979 2 cyl 2 stroke serial No 8052332, I cart seem to find the timing marks on the fly wheel. there are 3 large dots close together and 1 on its own to the left I gather that the single dot is the 27 degree mark but not sure, Ive attached a photo hopefully you can make...

    402 mercury electrics fault

    i have a 402 mercury that misses at high reves ,checked the fuel pump and carb all ok ,I get a large boot though the control box and the tacho cuts out at high reves.i noticed 1 of the plugs fould up, check the wiring seems to be all ok, can you help?

    mercury 402 that misses

    hi guys, I have a Mercury 402 1979 idles well but when i give it 3/4 to full throttle seems to miss and lack power . was running ok on the river for a few hours then all of a sudden started playing up.cleaned the plugs but that didnt work , have you any suggestions please, rob
