ok i have a 98 mercruiser 5.7 it will idle great but when you get on it it takes awhile to plane and when it does it will only hit 3000 rpm and will run smooth but it lacks power but at 3k u let of and get right back into it it will go right back to 3k quicker than it did from take off the prop...
i was wondering if anyone knows if i could use rod and main bearings from the car version of the 2.5 in my mercruiser 120? i didnt know if the internals were the same or not... thanks in advance Kevin
i have a 78 mercruiser 120 it runs smooth at half throttle for a long time then after a few min of wot then power down in a no wake zone it wont idle and is hard starting until i rev it up till it clears ( around 4000-5000 rpm) then it runs fun till next time i take it to wot ive rebuilt carb...
