Sadly the impeller disintegrated without me noticing and the engine ran for a few minutes before it quit. The engine is a 1984 6 cylinder 90 hp 2 stroke. I have since removed the lower unit to find the housing was scored badly to the point where the upper portion melted and the impeller itself...

Starts after a few tries then runs for about 3 mins before tapering down to not running (both out of water with ears and on the lake .)
Have considered the fuel filter possibly needs changing, just not sure where it is located and what parts I will need...
