Ok, I got it to run right, it's a 115hp in line 6 1978 merc. if you are in back of the motor there is a small hose sticking down and out of the right side. is that supposed to spray water out of it when you are running along? or is that a bad thing. I'd like to know what that really is...

I have some dum-dum things being a new boater-boat owner. The engine is a Merc 1150, 1979. My power trim system was dead, The seloc manual calls my unit a system "A" (a 2 cylinder system) The trim motor does run with all 3 buttons. (no oil in the system) So... The book doesn't say a few things...
