I have a 2005 yr model - 200HPDI Yamaha, and have had five lower unit/tuner replacements due to overheating. Yamaha says it's due to mud/sand forced into water pickup when beaching the boat. Lots of stories around the tackle shop of this from other Yamaha owners. Yet, Yamaha has no fix for this...
