    Shift cable housing issue

Hi all, This weekend, after boating for awhile, my shift cable housing completely backed off from the threaded tube See pic. The cable and housing all look fine. I’m guessing the nut wasn’t tightened down at some point, and the housing slowly backed its way off. I removed the outdrive, got...

    Speaker switch?

Sorry, my experience with stereo wiring is relatively basic and not up to speed on proper terminology. What I meant is that I don't have a separate amplifier that the speakers are connected to. They are powered by the head unit only. I didn't understand the comment about two amplifiers though...

    Speaker switch?

Thanks. I don’t have an amplifier, just the head unit and 6 speakers. Then, added the transom speakers and the switch

    Speaker switch?

I don’t think my diagram above was right. After non-conclusive research, it appeared as though only the positive wires should be wired to the switch. I combined the 4 negative wires from the 4 speakers with the 2 negative wires from my front left and right channel harness wires. May not have...

    Speaker switch?

Before I wire things up, I want to confirm if my wiring diagram below is ok or not. I'm not quite sure how I should be dealing with polarity from the head unit and the speakers.

    Speaker switch?

I have simple 6 speaker set-up on my boat, no amp. Sounds great for my needs, except when anchored and relaxing in the water, I barely hear any music. I'd like to add rear-facing speakers on the back of the boat. I don't want them on all the time though, if possible. Wondering if I would be...

    Torsion axle question

I might consider filling with silicone, since it’s flexible. Or even simpler, maybe I’ll just use a long stick with a rag on the end to dry up the standing water. I’ll just add that to my after boating, clean-up routine.

    Torsion axle question

That was my first thought. Yes, they are bent purposely, but no there's no drain holes. I did email Boatmate to get their opinion too.

    Torsion axle question

I have an ‘03 Boatmate dual torsion axle trailer. There’s a recessed area at the top center of each axle where water will collect and stay even after driving home. Front axle is starting to rust in that spot (SEE PIC), so, I’m planning to clean it up and repaint. Just seems strange to have a...

    Fuel leak

Thanks all. The leak was coming from the fitting going into the fuel filter, So I was able to tighten that up, and their peers the leak has stopped, which is great. I’ll certainly keep an eye on it for awhile.

    Fuel leak

I notice a few drops of fuel underneath my fuel filter. As I looked around, I think it might be a small leak at fitting of the braided line shown in the photo. Have to do more investigating to confirm if this is the location of the leak. Since this is a fuel line, I’ll buy the quicksilver part...

    Quiet ticking noise

Yes have one and mentioned it the 1st post. Hearing the noise on the valve cover, so probably a valve issue. Will be doing a compression test next
