I have a 1999 johnson tiller pull start. I have to pull the rope 20 to 25 times to get it started. Once started and warm it will start again with just one pull ;.I do pull the choke to get it started and after that it runs great! Is there something i am missing when first starting this motor...

Motor ran fine. Set up 3 years. Cleaned carbs and took out. Ran like a 10 h.p. ( sluggish ,bog down) Changed fuel pump and now when started, it runs out of control... Revs up and doesn't stop! The kill switch does not even stop it. It has few hours on it .It is a tiller motor. Any guesses...
