Anyone know how to take off the fuel filter on a 2005 25hp 2 stroke? I tried to unscrew it but it's either on there really tight or it doesn't unscrew.

My motor won't run when it's in the water (2005 Merc 25 hp 2 stroke) and it was sugested that I may have an exaust blockage problem which sounds logical - engines gotta breath, but I don't know how to check it or how to get the prop off - I'm new at this. Can someone please help?
