    running great shut down no spark merc 402

    Motor started great used perfectly on lake for a few days shut down like you hit the kill switch. Is the orange or samon colored wire going into the switch box supposed to indicate a direct ground when disconnected. Thanks Otis from Lake Novillo

    40hp merc just quit

    while fishing with my 1977 merc 402 it has always done everything 100% but it just turned off while crossing lake. Have no spark. like a few sugestions. Otis
