    898 cuts out and does not want to accelerate

    i just bought a 77' searay with a 898 i/o. the boat idles and revs up great in neutral. but when i put it in gear and go to take off it sputters and hesitates to accelerate. it will eventually start to gain rpms but never much over 3700 rpms. does anyone have any clue whats going on? i was...
