The wire shown is just for the air pump. The trolling motor wire is heavy and uses clamps.
Since the battery handle is unfortunately necessary, I taped over the exposed clips. Also added empty crimps with tethers to keep the crimp spades away from the posts and each other. Very helpful thread.
Hi. Getting to my question first, would some type of inline switch (between the fuse and positive post) make these nylon quick-release connectors reasonably safe?

When running a trolling motor with a 12V AGM battery, the full charge range of the battery may only be 1.5 volts (12 - 13.5V). I'm trying to find something inexpensive but accurate. Isn't the analog needle sweep too small to tell how much charge is used and...
Just bought an endura C2 45 lb. and had to disassemble the speed controller to get it though the hull. Never checked before but on reassembling it, it will only dial in either forward or reverse depending on which side of a metal stud the dial's downward facing post is inserted.
