I have a mercury 3.3 hp outboard motor, and I was wondering if I could use regular 2-cycle engine oil that is for air-cooled engines. I have been using it in the motor, but I don't want to damage it so any info would help. Thanks.
Allright guys, I just replaced the impeller as of yesterday. The lower unit slid back into place more easily than I could have imagined. Last night I decided to go for a short ride on the lake just to make sure everything worked. It didn't. The motor started right up. Water came out the pee hole...
I have a 3.3 horsepower mercury outboard. The serial number is od993621. I think it is a 1996, but I'm not sure. Could anyone verify this for me? - thanks
I have a 3.3 hp Mercury outboard, and would like to replace the impeller. I loosened two bolts on the lower unit, and thought it would drop down easily. It only goes down about an inch and then stops. Any ideas on how to get it completely out would be appreciated. thanks.
I recently bought a 3.3 hp merc outboard at a yardsale. I know it sat untouched for at least five years. The engine looks brand new, but I thought I should replace the impellor. It didn't come with a manual so I don't know how to do this. Is it difficult. Are there any tricks to it? Any help...
