    I have a mercury 3.3 hp outboard motor, and I was wondering if I could use regular 2-cycle engine oil that is for air-cooled engines. I have been using it in the motor, but I don't want to damage it so any info would help. Thanks.

    lower unit oil question

    Is it possible to use 80w-90 oil in the lower unit of a small outboard, or will that damage something? Thanks for the advice. - Nick

    I have a 3.3 horsepower mercury outboard. The serial number is od993621. I think it is a 1996, but I'm not sure. Could anyone verify this for me? - thanks

    lower unit trouble

    I have a 3.3 hp Mercury outboard, and would like to replace the impeller. I loosened two bolts on the lower unit, and thought it would drop down easily. It only goes down about an inch and then stops. Any ideas on how to get it completely out would be appreciated. thanks.

    98-02 3.3 hp Mercury Outboard

    I recently bought a 3.3 hp merc outboard at a yardsale. I know it sat untouched for at least five years. The engine looks brand new, but I thought I should replace the impellor. It didn't come with a manual so I don't know how to do this. Is it difficult. Are there any tricks to it? Any help...
